How Great Are Your Works

Nanga Bay, Western Australia

August 30, 2012

"How great are your works, G‑d.
You have made them all with wisdom. The earth is filled with your possessions!"

Millions of shells, yet no two quite the same.
Millions of people, each one unique.
The infinity of the Creator is declared in the infinite creativity of His creation.

I shall surely bless you and increase your offspring,
like the stars of the heavens and the sands of the seashore.

A stable home that is filled with mitzvahs, protects and supports its inhabitants
no matter what travels they undertake in life.

Unchanging Descent

Ithaca, NY

Torah is likened to water.

Water descends from a high place to a low place,
yet it remains the same water.

Torah is sourced from the most sublime, abstract heights.
It descends to a material corporeal world but never loses its richness and depth.

There are two souls that sing,
one to the heavens and the other to earth.

When we are tuned into G‑dliness they sing in unison -
giving to live clarity, purpose and peace.
