Send A Prayer Petition

The eve of July 4th, through Tuesday, July 5th, marks seventeen years since the passing of the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory. Traditionally, this is a day for reflection, learning, prayer, re-commitment and, above all, positive action. (Click here for more on this.)

Additionally, the date of a righteous person's passing is a particularly auspicious time for G-d to hear our prayers, particularly those recited at the resting place of the departed tzaddik (righteous person). In keeping with the age-old tradition of writing prayer petitions at our holiest sites, it is also customary to send written notes to the Rebbe's resting place for intercession On High for blessings large and small, in matters both material and spiritual.

The editors and staff of Chabad.org will be visiting the Rebbe’s resting place over the course of this special day, and we would be happy to bring your prayer requests together with our own.

If you would like us to do so, please write your letter for the Rebbe in the form below and include your name(s), along with any special prayer requests you may have, and/or additional people to pray for. (If requesting for others, please do not forget to mention yourself, too!)

It is customary when praying for someone to mention the person's Jewish name, as well as his/her mother's Jewish name (e.g., Joseph son of Zelda). If you do not know the person's Jewish names, please include the secular ones. If the person is not Jewish, then write his/her father's name (e.g., Cathy daughter of John).

Your letter can be written in any language. If for any reason you can't use this form, you can forward your petition to editors@chabad.org and one of our staff will deliver your prayers to the Rebbe’s resting place.
