With every visit,
every passing,
life went by a little too fast,
every night and every day,
I felt the pain when you went away,
but now I know something new
that someone taught me,
and that was you.
With your bright smile that went a mile,
the world stopped when you spoke,
to say a prayer,
everyone had hope.
You would pass down your knowledge,
and that you did,
to everyone who needed it,
and especially us when we were kids,
you've taught me so much that now I know,
I can not just let you go.
No matter what I know,
you'll always be there
to look down from heaven,
and you'll always care,
to help me out,
without a doubt I truly know,
the reason why you let us go,
it was to help the world be one,
to watch over us at all times,
and make sure we have fun times,
so now I know who you are,
not only my grandpa,
but my Guardian Angel.
This piece was written by Jennifer after her grandfather passed away on November 28, 2006 and read to the family during the week of shiva. In the memory of Zevulun Jacob Daniel.
