Ethereal Door

Our hearts are doomed to beat and break
And I know that with every breath I take,
I owe it all to you!
Thirteen years here in this exile
It could make one’s heart turn cold
But when I stand by those Shabbos flames
Something inside me begins to change, and I know –
I owe it all to you!
For the good in this world I sincerely thank you!
And for the hardships I thank you two times more
Because I know that’s your way of saying –
I believe in you!
With these words I walk on
Stronger than before
For now I have your guiding hand…
Leading me to the ethereal door!
