The Butterfly

In a moment
Between illusion and truth
Dreams are painted
By the wings of a butterfly.

From simplicity to grace
The untold mystery of beauty
Of immense change and growth
Emerge from the wings of a butterfly.

Flying across and above
Singing to the spirit of love
And fluttering with dignity
Even in the face of wind.

Through the infinite sea of strength
I must disentangle myself
From the smoky shadows of fear
That stir my soul.

I see the butterfly
Between silence and song
And I search for my own wings
To color the music in my life, and fly.

The Butterfly
Dear Chana,

Such lovely poetry...I can hear music in your words. My comments cannot do justice to such insight...On a personal note, my late mother, Vivian, loved butterflies. Everytime I see one, I feel her, there. I will keep your poem close by. Thank you.
