My Child

A Poem For Amanda...

She is my child
Beginning to paint her dreams
Seeing in her mind's eye
what is heart-felt.

She is my child
Putting her fingers on the
strings of an instrument
Pulling the music from her soul
into a physical reality

She is my child
This artist of a girl
This woman of a child
This perfect human-being
Conceived in love.
