Living for Tomorrow

Every day there is another death, another person diagnosed with an awful disease, another wayward child. Today a young Jewish girl does too much drugs, today I hear about an attack, today I visit a young boy with leukemia. Today, I curl up in a corner and cry, begging G‑d to stop testing me because I can’t take it anymore.

Every day, as I find myself facing another challenge, I find myself shirking away and crying out, “Why?” I feel as though I’ve diverted every last bit of strength, all my energy, and I have nothing left. How can I continue on? How can we continue on?

I continue on today, because there is tomorrow.

Today is clouded with darkness, but there is a little light—the flame of hope. We live the todays because of the promise for tomorrow. Not only tomorrow, but a better tomorrow, a tomorrow filled with love, joy, and laughter.

The promise of better times, the promise of redemption, it’s the only thing that can keep us going anymore. Because today, an answer to all the questions isn’t enough; today, reason and logic aren’t satisfactory. But the promise of tomorrow can help us go on.

Sometimes we must live in the moment, sometimes the future seems overwhelming and we have to just be. But now, the today is overwhelming, the today is too much.

So today, we live for tomorrow.

Live life today
If you choose to look for the negative you will find it. If you can try and find 2 positive things for every negative thing your life will change for the better and you can then enjoy today, a better today, a tomorrow filled with love, joy, and laughter.

The Hope in a Better Tomorrow
Thank you for writing this brief piece. The right words to write at this time. Now we just need to bring that "tomorrow" into today (because "tomorrow" never comes) need to bring it constantly .........at every moment....in our thoughts.......in our speech........in our actions......til it explodes into becoming our today reality...........we will do it with Hashem's help......thank you for reminding me to work on it today. :)
