Partnering With G‑d

With my daughter's help the task usually takes twice as long. So why do I let her stand so proudly at my side as "my helper"?

Cooking with Nana
I loved Chana's video about cooking with children. I cook with my 2 granddaughters, ages 4 & 5, and Chana is totally right about the trail of flour and other ingredients. The girls taste as much as they cook, and the product is never exactly as intended, but the memories and relationships are priceless, no matter how long it takes or how great a mess to clean up. I thank G-d every day for these wonderful gifts, as well as the gift of their little brother who is 2, and is not interested in cooking. When I see the smiles on all their little faces, I realize the wonder of life and the wonderful power of G-d. Our own children were special but our grandchildren add a richness to our lives which can hardly be described.

Partnering With G-d
What a great honor it is to partner with G-d in His ongoing work! His tender mercies and patience are revealed over and over as we "make a mess." Just like a loving mother, He simply smiles and helps us clean it up, thereby, increasing our confidence and trust. The parent/child analogy is perfect! On the job training is the way children learn and become competent at a task.

Thank you for your thoughts yes I know
only if you see it through the eyes of your
own child than you'll understand others much more.
