Transforming Women's Torah Learning

A New Wave in Educating Jewish Women

Torah learning for Jewish women has been revolutionized. No longer must women strive to learn as men, but rather women are now revealing and celebrating their own unique ability to learn as women.

Transforming Women's Torah Learning
Thank you for much for writting this article. I am not Jewish; however, it seems I could hear your voice as I read; and that I had a special seat in the circle of women, discussing and relating how the Holy Words related to their lives.

Deeper things of G-d
I have been studying Torah through chabad.org. I am not a Jew, but to study Torah and reading brings me to a place of contentment, and a deeper place of knowledge. Thank you

Transforming Women's Torah Learning
Thank you for writing this article. I am a Jew, a woman, and a feminist, and look forward to the day when these two concepts will be understood as not mutually exclusive. You, in fact, have explained, wonderfully, how that is so. Torah learning is wonderful for women. Torah learning is wonderful for men. We have differences in perception which can enrich the other. May the day come soon when all women are learned and all men respect that learning, and that Redemption comes of the reaching out of men seeking feminine wisdom, as well.

I've been asking Hashem for an answer and this was it. Thank you so much.

Hannah
So, apparently, Elkanah's giving up was actually a gift to Hannah--it fortified to pursue her own path.
Interestingly, your article came up when I asked Google, "Where do women learn serious torah?"

Women's Torah learning
Indeed. The Rabbis say "Harbeh shlichim laMakom" G-d has many messengers or angels.Something someone says can spur you to make a transformational decision! A word, a thought, a feeling...When are you coming to Israel to study at Matan - the women's institute for Torah study? Check my websites brynalevy.com. Dr. Sylvia Frankel from Portland came for the summer program years ago and then brought me to Portland once upon a time. she is wonderful contact her for info about women and serious Torah learning frankel@lclark.edu bhazlacha! bryna jocheved levy
