What was the tree from which Adam and Eve ate? Rabbi Meir says it was
wheat... Rabbi Judah ben I'llai says it was grapes... Rabbi Abba of Acco says it
was an ethrog (citron)... Rabbi Yossei says they were figs.
Rabbi Azariah and Rabbi Judah ben Rabbi Shimon said in the name of Rabbi
Joshua ben Levi: G-d forbid that we should conjecture which tree it was! G-d did
not, and will not, reveal its name...
