The mitzvah of shiluach hakan we Jews must keep
The eggs in a nest or baby birds you need
Send the mother bird away so she can live another day
Shalach teshalach es haem ve’es habanim tikach lach

Long life is the reward for kibud av v’aim
For shiluach hakan the reward is the same
It teaches us mercy too, to be a better Jew

Hashovas aveidah is what we learn
Anything not yours must be returned
If there is something you might find
Don’t keep it or save it for mine
By doing these mitzvos we won’t go astray
Our Torah shows us the way
