Living with the Parshah

As Debbie prepares to apply for her passport, she realizes that she is doing much the same thing that the Jews did long ago in the desert, as recounted in this week's Parshah

"Did you know," Ben said, "that if this would be a non kosher egg, like an owl's egg, and it would fall into a pot of food, then the whole pot-full of food would become non-kosher?"
