Trumpets and Dancing Greet Princeton’s New Torah
Wednesday, April 22, 2009 With blaring trumpets in procession behind them, students marched through Princeton University’s gothic Blair Arch this month in celebration of a new Torah scroll donated to the Chabad-Lubavitch center serving the Ivy League campus. The festivities included a round of dancing with the Torah, which will allow Chabad-on-Campus co-directors Rabbi Eitan and Gitty Webb, to run a synagogue geared to students with little knowledge of Jewish traditions and liturgy.
