Revisiting Mumbai’s Chabad House

Mumbai’s devastated Chabad-Lubavitch center was filled with light once more on Thursday as dozens of Jews returned to the destruction to hold prayer services and an impromptu Chasidic gathering. As the wordless melodies shifted from somber chords to upbeat tempos, some of the visitors, who included Rabbi Nachman and Freida Holtzberg, and Rabbi Shimon and Yehudit Rosenberg – the parents of slain Chabad House directors Rabbi Gavriel and Rivka Hotzberg – walked through the building’s corridors.
