Model Matzah Bakery Comes to Cyprus

Chabad-Lubavitch of Cyprus, co-directed by Rabbi Zeev and Shaindel Raskin, hosted a model matzah bakery to teach community members about the special process of making shmurah matzah for the Passover Seder. Every year, Chabad-Lubavitch emissaries all over the world run similar kid-friendly programs, which offer hands-on opportunities to see how the special hand-made unleavened bread is closely guarded at every step of its production.

The program traced every step in the genesis of the special hand-made unleavened bread known as shmura matzah, from the milling of the wheat to the dough’s super-quick kneading, rolling and baking.
