Michoel Muchnik likes to infuse his art with spirituality. It’s not an uncommon goal for an artist, but for this Lubavitch Chasid it’s a must in order to effect elevation of physical matter.

Michoel Muchnik shows a preference for pastel colors in his work, and he similarly encourages a bright and happy atmosphere in his studio. Radiating with life, the artist says that when he enters his workspace, he is always in an uplifted mood. His penchant for inserting tiny details into his art is a reflection of the mosaic of Jewish teachings he studies while not honing his craft.
