Hospitalized Son of Slain Chabad Emissaries Succumbs to Illness

The family of slain Chabad-Lubavitch emissaries Rabbi Gavriel and Rivka Holtzberg buried the couple’s four-year-old son Dov Tuesday morning after the boy succumbed to a genetic disease. He had been hospitalized for several months.

Dov Holtzberg’s funeral took place at Jerusalem’s Mount of Olives cemetery next to the graves of his parents, who were killed last month in the Mumbai terror attacks along with four other Jews at the Chabad House they directed for five-and-a-half years.

Their other son, two-year-old Moshe – who escaped the Mumbai center in the arms of his nanny – has been living with his mother’s parents, Rabbi Shimon and Yehudit Rosenberg, in their Afula, Israel, home.

Unbearable Loss
I lost my younger brother last year so I can fully empathize with Moshe - of course he is too small to realize the enormity of the situation, but he will one day....It really makes me feel breathless....I am afraid nobody can replace one's own parents or siblings...I don't know what more to say...
