1980: No Place is Too Remote

Rabbis representing the Mitzvah Campaign of the Chabad-Lubavitch Movement are visiting Fairbanks this week as part of a worldwide effort to find Jews... They visited the Jewish community in Anchorage for a week before coming to Fairbanks… Open to all Jews, one goal of Chabad-Lubavitch is to strengthen the Jewish heritage… The Mitzvah Campaign was initiated by Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson during the Six Day War in 1967… The campaign also stresses the wearing of the tefillin by boys over 13 and all Jewish men.
