Why can't the kid take her blanket and pillow and bunk out on the floor near Mom's bed? not every single night of course but when a 3 year old is AFRAID like that, it's heartbreaking to make her stay alone! I never left my children alone in the night if they were scared. And I'm sure that G-d is ever more watchful of us at all times since He's Omnipotent, All-Knowing, and IS the "there" that we know. Why does it have to give the impression that a mother just leaves a child to continue to be alone and afraid. She should have been holding that little girl until her fear went away. This left me with an unresolved feeling...
