For years I practiced TM (transcendental meditation); I later learned that Hindu mantras were forbidden for Jews. (Is that true?) Unable to find an acceptable substitute that resonated in my mind, I stopped meditating. After studying this video, I began using the Modeh Ani prayer. The result? Deeper and more profound meditations than ever! Thank you, Rabbi Freeman, for the wisdom and gentle but powerful guidance you offer. You are, as someone else noted, a most wonderful teacher.

Thank You Rabbi, I have felt my Modeh was feeling shallow but I didn't know what to do about it. I am grateful that He has made me seek Him. I know that I have a lot of work a head of me to really feel His presence. You have provided me a "Key" to the path of His Garden. Thank you.

Thank you for being here. I have been hearing about much of the things I am seeing here that I am able to actually get more information from here than I can on the shows I've watched. I am finally able to get the actual words to learn the Hebrew of tall these things. such as the Modeh Ani prayer, and starting the day with that. And Shabbat, and more. I just wish I had an income to help you be able to keep going with this. As a stay at home wife, I personally have no income, and am the only one in my house that is interested in these things, and feel that I am to learn them and put them into practice. God Bless You in every way.

I have to say thanks for the time and effort in creating these lessons to be accessible to all via online. I am not Jewish but I come to appreciate Judaism and I find it so valuable and enlightening. Thanks again!

Rabbi..thank you. I practice the New Year and Yom Kippur in my heart and head. Today,in my readings on-line, I found your site. Since I do not formally belong to temple, I appreciate what you have to share. My best for you and yours.

I think I should live modah ani l'fanecha but it is very difficult for my heart to surrender when there is tension in the moment. Maybe it will be easier the more I think that God is with everyone I meet, even when the eyes of my heart can not see his activity in someone.
