So wonderful to hear this positive outlook on the days of mourning. I plan to use these ideas in my class tonight for ladies in my area. More strength to you!

Thank you so much for this most interesting and understandable explanation of how to face mourning w/fortitude, strength and yes, even joy. It was all the more applicable to me b/c I have a yartzeit for my young son during this period and your lesson taught me how to view this day and bring out the best in it.
I can't wait to share this w/my family members.
Sincerely,

Maybe this link will answer your questions:

(I found this explanation in the name of the "Chozeh of Lublin"; it's brought in the book "Siach Sarfei Kodesh" Vol. 2 No. 433)

HOW & WHAT IT IS...
HOW do we look for a way to decrease that sadness? And WHAT are we looking for?

(Any ideas? Does anyone know where this "Ba'al Shem Tov" explanation can be found?)

The “Three Weeks of Mourning” with a Chassidic twist
What are the “Three Weeks”? How do Jews traditionally mark the Destruction of the Temple? Are joy and mourning contradictory? Apply the lessons of the Jewish calendar to your own, day-to-day perspectives.
