I chose my purpose when I was 3 and remained true to it. I remained faithful to it all my life, but never realized where I would be today and what I can do, based on my original promise and where it would lead me.
Purpose can change in other ways, sometimes making one blind to the original quest, but, it is the ability of memory to make you remember, and to make you accountable to your original promise.
One must have a purpose to continue with life and all its challenges.
The times that were difficult for me were the times that I had so many woes that I forgot, temporarily, what it was all about. When I remembered, I did some of my best work. I always asked G-d for direction and assistance every day, but failed to hear the specific instructions for me, because my mind was muddled with woe.
I finally heard Him because with all the problems, it was I who shut HIM out. Not the other way around.
Loved your lecture and all you had to say.
