The bottom line is Yaakov did NOT dwell permanently with Leah at this point in time, as we see later that Reuven moved his bed into his mother Leah's tent and was reprimanded for it.

By the way, I once heard the beautiful idea that Egypt was called the Kur Barzel, the iron smelting pot, because there all the different tribes (children of the 4 mothers) rebonded.
