Tazria – The Crown of Creation

Topics:   ParshahTazria
Last week's parshah discussed the laws of purity relating to animals and now we learn the laws of purity for the human being; why do animals precede man?

Last week's parshah discussed the various signs that signal an animal’s pure or impure status; is it kosher or non-kosher. This week, the Torah begins to discuss the purity of the human being, how one becomes spiritually impure and the unique process he or she would go through in order to achieve spiritual purity.

Now, this doesn't really make any sense. Why are animals discussed first?

Friends, I say this without a shred of egotism: Are we not the greatest, most intelligent species in G-d's world? Shouldn't we humans come before animals?

Tune in to this week's Parshah Cast and discover who is really greater: man or mosquito?
