The answer I was looking for
I have been looking for a while of how I can still uphold by belief in Beresheit in a world where evolution has become the norm, and this lecture has given me the answer.

G-d did not create a universe some 6,000 years ago that is now 6,000 years old. He created a universe 6,000 years ago that appears billions of years old to our senses and science.

For G-d, time is irrelevant. We live on a planet that contains pre-programed years and events that give the impression that the Torah is wrong.

However, in the grand scheme of things, carbon dating, fossils and even the stars are divinely fabricated history to create doubt in G-d's own existence.

At the most, evolution is a test of faith for the Jewish people. At the least, it is an interesting idea for us to study for the sake of understanding.

3 credits class in one lecture
Dear Rabbi Lipskar , one of your lecture has such a substantial theoretical approach that it deserve to be counted as a full course of Talmudic Ethics in a way we used to have it in college.
