the desert
I love this analogy about our lives. I don't know for sure if you are using this analogy but I see our lives as a desert until we turn to G-d for our life here and beyond. As a mother with 6 children, I did my best to raise them to recognize and accept G-d as our salvation. That gives us gardens within the desert.
