The Chassidic Dimension - Vayishlach

Dear Rabbi Bell,

Thank you for your wonderful explanation of Vayishlach. On the surface it seems that Yaakov was "hiding" behind these messengers because he still feared for his life. Your explanation however, shows what a Tzaddik Yaakov really was, by trying to transform Eisav the best he could using his infinite Torah knowledge. I do not think anyone could blame Yaakov for showing fear of Eisav based on past peformance.

A couple of years ago I was blessed enough to be introduced to one of the Chabad Rabbis you refer to in Pembroke Pines, Florida. He was originally from Crown Heights, Brooklyn and made the move to small town Florida where he had and is still having a profound effect on my life. I have since moved to Kew Gardens, New York and married an observant woman.

May HaShem continue to bless you and all the other Rabbis who continue to do Vayishlach every day,
