Diet and Torah
I spend an hour listening to Mendel and Dov. Very interesting (however Dr. Dov cut off before I could hear his conclusion.)

I have been a vegan for many years based on B'resheit 1:29. If that was the Creator's first prescribed diet, why not go with that? Some say that Noach was given a new prescription which added meat. Notice that men also began to have shorter lives. That may have been for the purpose of managing the wickedness of the earth. Upon hearing Dr. Dov on the vegetarian diet I am glad that he sees that scientific evidence best supports it for best health. He states that it requires discipline and careful thought in order to get sufficient protein. I say it requires similar discipline and careful thought for others to eat sufficient fiber and fruits and vegetables. We all would do well to eat thoughfully, and to the honor of the Creator. We may then be sweeter people with clearer minds to walk in the ways of Torah. Interesting also about Ramban's 6 Obligations.

Kabbalah on Drugs and Alcohol
The murky world of addictive narcotics can be dangerous. Yet some spiritualists maintain that it is necessary for the release of one’s inner soul and spirit, and it is the only way to experience a transcendental sense of spiritual consciousness. Is that true? Or do drugs simply play with our imagination, inducing nothing but hallucination and a patently false sense of spirituality?
