I can't argue with that... but still how can I ever really be comfortable with the idea of mortal flawed human beings tampering with ... well, you know... You are going to see cloned designer babies paterned after the super-star images of Hollywood and other fashion industry fiat. Here's a science fiction for you... A movie script if you will. Archiologists dig up remains of King Nebuchadnessar's mummy and with a sample of bone tissue clone out another one. Are you ready for THAT...?! Hummm...? Comment, anyone...?
|
If we were to reject a human being by reason that he was cloned, that would be a bad thing. If we were to reject a cloned animal as unkosher, would this standard of rejection be the same, or different than that which we would apply to the acceptance or rejection of a cloned human being? That which may be implicit in our dietary laws could verry well serve as the basis for unfairness in the way we treat others.

Clones...?! Kosher...?! Are you kidding me, you have more important issues to consider. How do you feel about a cloned human being...??? If they can clone a sheep, a cow, a rat, a ... anything mammal, how far is it to a human being...? Face it...it's a forgone conclusion that if they can clone a human being...they sure WILL do it, laws or no laws, they will do it clandestinely. In fact, who's to say that they haven't done it already...??? Kosher...???!!!
