To live in a place not your own
Thank you so much for this recording. For family reasons we chose to move to Buenos Aires and it has been a difficult transition coming from the US. Hearing about Jacob's positive vision although he didn't live in his homeland is an inspiring message that will help me continue to think about what purpose G-d has for me here.

17 vs 18
could we also take from this that since the number 17 is 1 away from 18, chai, that Jacob did NOT live most of his life, when he was really living his main purpose, in Egypt?

rabbi, i enjoyed your talk very much.
below is my take.
vayechi = vuv yud ches yud
veh yosef chai
only when yakov found out that yosef was alive, was he able to live. vayechi= and he lived.
