Torah before it happened
It's not all a silly question, Rachel! Please see this link for an explanation on how Yaakov and the other forefathers where able to study the Torah before it was given at Mount Sinai: How Did the Torah Exist Before it Happened?

I don't know if this is a silly question, but how could Yaakov study Torah if it wasn't given until Mount Sinai?
