English Transcript - Farbrengen Erev Rosh Hashanah 5741
Lubavitcher Rebbe, Farbrengen, Rosh Hashanah

An hour-long excerpt of the Rebbe’s farbrengen (public address) from the evening before Rosh Hashanah in 1980, which also marks the birthday of the Tzemach Tzedek, the third Chabad Rebbe (1789-1866).

In this public address, the Rebbe teaches about “tools for illumination.”

The Jew’s purpose is to illuminate the entire world around him. But to “illuminate” does not mean to change the order of creation; rather, light enables one to discern the true nature and purpose of what already is in fact there.

By illuminating one’s own affairs with faith in G‑d, a person finds the fortitude, and the appropriate words, to impart this clarity to other Jews – and to non-Jews as well, until “the Nations will follow your light.”

This playlist includes numerous Chassidic melodies and two talks by the Rebbe:
• Beyond The Sunglasses: Seeing the World’s Essence
• A Three-Part Vow: Renewing Our Oaths

30' indeed there are People and other Beings who are enabled to stare into the Sun, and the Sun into them, [Sun Gazing], as well as Saints and holy People and Beings are able to stare into the Light, and the Light into them, straight away: illuminated-illuminating Rosh haShanah to everyone, and inner-outer Happiness. in response to Gregg Levin- Hananiah :

As a little boy I would walk up Eastern Parkway to hear the Rebbe from Boro Park - be blessed me once. This Erev Rosh Hashanah he reminded me of the Yiddish Song - "A Tfile"
"Gib mir bloiz tzurik main gloibn un ich darf kain zach nit mer" - "Return to me only my belief and I won't need anything else." The Rebbe has done this for me tonite - Thank you and God Bless you. Shanah Tovah! Reply
