Honor Thy Father and Mother

Dear Rabbi New,
Wonderful teaching. I wish that all our children would aknowledge this commandment of Hashem. If we honor our parents is because G-d told us to do it. And because by being our parents who nourished us and loved us and cared for us, there should be some love, and respect involved. Today I hear that the contrary is happening. I just do not understand this behavior. Thank you for a great teaching.
