Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu served as Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations from 1982 through 1986. During that time, he visited the Rebbe numerous times. Like so many Israeli leaders, diplomats, and military men, he developed a relationship with the Rebbe which lasted many years.
