Story.

As the Bukharian Jews streamed out of the USSR in the 1970s many of them came to the Rebbe, to visit in person the person who had done so much for them behind the Iron Curtain.
On one occasion, some Bukharian visitors "brought" this song to the Rebbe, and it became part of the Chabad musical tradition.

This song sounds sephardi in origin, how did it end up in nichoach (the niggunim -- melodies -- of Chabad Chassidim)?
