What is the purpose of the Alter Rebbe adding at the end of today's Tanya that, "only one who had deriverd no enjoyment from this world; all his life, as was the case with our Saintly Master [Rabbi Yehudah the Prince is spared this]"? That sounds very depressing. Even if a person has done teshuva then they still get punished. Even more so, how does it help me to know that there is no way to fix what I have already done. I would rather be ignorant of the fact. So how do I view this point in the light of simcha and why did the Alter Rebbe make this addition when he wrote the Tanya?
