Life in the Shtetl

Children talk about what it's like to live in the shtetl.

The Jewish Heritage Centre for Children (JHCC) in Leeds, UK, brings Judaism to life for children and adults through arts, crafts, cookery and modern technology. The JHCC is supported by generous funding from The Heritage Lottery Fund.

TheShtetl as in spiration today
This videos are one of the finest examples of Chabad's work in reviving our traditions. I Included a clip on my blog Google "What is a Shtetl like?"or ""Pictures from the invisible"

Children of Shtetl
Excellent. In pursuit of my love of painting, I've found the Shtetl to be a fascinating subject so I've done a lot of personal research into life there. This is a wonderful and joyful bit of education, even if idealized a bit. I commend this production and thank all the children for their very special performances. Mazel Tov.

Children in the Shtetl
I just watched the five shorts and they are very well made and entertaining. The kids are very cute and talented.
I am looking forward to more shorts with the same children acting.

Emotional video
A shetl with British accents, we feel aristocratic, as when we lean on the left side in Pesach.
