Giving Tithes
I am so happy that I spent time listening to this lecture a second and a third time. What a blessing it has been! Thank you!

I am wondering why I had read the text in the Bible several times and yet I did not see what you have so ably discovered and presented to us. Now I know how what behaviour I need to demonstrate in the current economic crisis. Keep sowing and for the right reason; that is, to bless the life of others.

My concern however, is, whether we need to be selective about where we give our tithes. What I mean is that, most times tithe is converted into money and there are people who will be managing it and very often not for the intended purpose.

Class like this have been pullling me upward
"Money more likely brings worst of the person" said Rabbi Mendel Kaplan. Because of my disability, I receive a social security check every month more than enough for basic needs. I give charity more than 10 percent and pay my debt. I have been using the money proactively. The only reason the money does not bring my worst is inspirational teachings of Chabad Lubavitch just like this one.

Baruch HaShem

To me, giving time for others is more difficult than giving money. Especially when I am busy with Torah study like this shiur, it is difficult to generously spend time for helping others. Today's Hayom Yom "The true way is to know one's character, truly recognizing one's own deficiencies and one's good qualities. And when one knows his deficiencies - he should correct them with actual avoda (toil), and not satisfy himself merely with bemoaning them." "Time" is what I have do work out.
