Yashar koach on the great dvar Torah.

A friend of mine has the erroneous idea that the souls of tzadikkim do not reincarnate. Where does that idea come from and can you give other examples of tzadikkim who incarnated? Such as the Ari? Reb Nachman? Baal Shem Tov? Any female gilgulim that are known? Miriam? etc...
