Soldiers

music video tribute

This song was composed shortly after the Mumbai tragedy and was later arranged as a music video in tribute to those murdered in the Mumbai Chabad House.

Lyrics:

Like soldiers they march, stepping in time.
Shoulders thrown back, heads held so high.
No obstacle of any size can slow their advance,
there is nothing that can break their ranks or topple their stance.

That Yiddele in Thailand, that Jew in Mumbai
I have heard his soul cry out, I have heard his sigh.
The one who has fallen, derailed from the track
I will help him to stand up and find his way back.

Even if I must place myself in harms way
I won't back down, I won't hesitate
I'll do my mission to the end, to fill the world with love
I am a soldier... of the One Above.

Perhaps he needs a filling meal, or maybe just a smile
Maybe he just needs to sit and chat with a friendly face for a while.
No one is forgotten, no one left behind
Whatever their need - anything, any place any time.

Even if I must place myself in harms way
I won't back down, I won't hesitate
I'll do my mission to the end, to fill the world with love
I am a soldier... of the One Above.
