Imprisoned in Czarist Russia, the Alter Rebbe’s case was at the mercy of the most anti-Semitic officials of the most powerful country in the world. Miraculously, his acquittal was ordered by the Czar himself, and he was freed on Yud-Tes Kislev.  (7:58)

The Professor

Professor Yisroel Hochberg presents to the Rebbe a small box which had belonged to the Alter Rebbe. The Rebbe says: “You are a professor, and that is very important! May the Alter Rebbe’s merit stand you in good stead to fulfill all the Alter Rebbe’s teachings of Jewish law, and may you raise your children as true ‘professor’s children.’”
