The Babylonian Exile

Dear Rabbi Dubov, you mentioned that King Ahasuerous was not of royal blood. Is there a part of history which gives more information as to who, and where King Ahasuerous was and came from? This information is so interesting I feel that there should be more information on the subject. You also speak of the Talmud which teaches the history of all these happenings, I would like to be able to read this historical events. In which Talmud is this found? I have the TaNak of the Jewish Publication Society. But there is no explanation as clear and detailed as you are teaching. For Heavens sake, we have been ignorant in this world where only lies have been taught. I am so frustrated to come to this realization. I want, and need to know more of the history of my people. Thank you Rabbi Dubov for the inspiration. Many blessings to you and yours. P.S I have the bk Every Mans Talmud/by: Abraham Cohen, and The Taklmud/by H.Polano, beautiful, but not as informative. Thanks.

Jewish history

I so appreciate these history lessons! They fill in the gaps I did not know and help me know what happened when.

Two small questions/ comments. Did you say that Yirmiyahu went to Chizkiyahu to tell him to prepare his will? It must have been a slip because it was Yeshayahu. Also, did you say that Yeshayahu was killed by the people? I learned it was Menashe. But all in all I want to give you a big yasher koach. Keep up the excellent work!

Chabad is so helpful; thanks for this presentation and your efforts to bring it to us

I am looking foward to this broadcast. I wonder if anyone else will be watching from the Sacramento area and to say "hello and best regards". Let me take this opportunity to compliment Chabad's Rabbi Mendy Cohen who has been inspirational and educational for many years here in this region. , This was my moment to compliment him to Chabad, around the country, for the things he has accomplished for us Jews, for example he innitiated the annual minorah lighting at the State Capitol.
