About this Class

The Talmud discusses a scenario in which one participant in a meal has partaken from "demai" (produce that may not have been tithed.) Although it is forbidden to eat such food, may the person who eat from it still be included in a group recitation of Grace After Meals?

would we forward that meal to those who don't mind, whether tithes have been taken or not? does taking tithes become such an imposing requirement that in the end it has become an issur...this is after all, food, nourishment. very precious and very much needed. so; if so; a jew cannot bring another jew to transgress...in view of the strong bond and responsibility amongst jews, it transcends that this prohibition would apply to all jews?!as you may know; it's never pleasant to transgress even seemingly the transgression is minor...at times;it appears, we transgress emotionally not rationally??!!!!
