Tehillim - Psalms - Chapter 150
Chapter 150
| 1. Hallelujah! Praise God in His holy place, praise Him in the firmament of His might. |
| 2. Praise Him with His mighty deeds, praise Him as befits His superb greatness. |
| 3. Praise Him with a shofar blast, praise Him with psaltery and lyre. |
| 4. Praise Him with timbres and dance, praise Him with stringed instruments and flute. |
| with stringed instrument and flute: Heb. They are kinds of musical instruments. |
| 5. Praise Him with resounding cymbals, praise Him with resonant cymbals. |
| with resounding cymbals: Heb. בצלצלי שמע, cymbals that let a sound be heard. שָׁמַע is a noun, like שֶׁמַע, with a “segol,” but because of the “ethnactha” [which denotes a pause], it is vowelized with a long “kamatz,” and therefore, its accent is above, under the “shin.” |
| 6. Let every soul praise God. Hallelujah! |
