Apple Kugel II

Apple Kugel II

  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • ½ cup oil
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 6 tart apples, peeled and sliced
  • ½ cup raisins, optional

Combine eggs, sugar, cinnamon, and oil. Stir in flour and baking powder. Fold in sliced apples and raisins.

Pour into a well-greased 9x13- inch pan and bake in a 350° preheated oven for 45–50 minutes.

Noodle kugel needs noodles, other types do not! This, for example, is an Apple kugel! Kudos, and thanks for sharing what turned out to be the favorite part of our Rosh Hashana meal! It was a 5-star hit. Reply

Delicious I like it sweet and sour and try to give less of sugar to kids so I use only 1/2 cup sugar. First I mix with mixer sugar and eggs for 5? 10? Min until the mixture is doubles in size. Then I added a spoon of vanilla extract andcinnamon and continued beating. Then i add slowly flour with baking soda and oil. My kid doesn't like raisin so I used some cranberry instead of raisin. It's comes very light and fluffy! Thank you for great recipe! Reply
