On Rosh Hashanah, we call G‑d both king and father.
King, in the most ultimate sense of kingship: the One who dictates what exists and what does not.
Father, because there is something of Him within each of us—and therefore we dictate along with Him.

Using the similie of G-d as a Father bothers me because sometimes, and they are many, Fathers are real let down. That is where i got a problem Rebbe!

To your question: Quite the opposite. It's during these ten days from Rosh Hashana until Yom Kippur that we emphasize G-d's role as the only true King. Our job at this time is to see the father behind the king.

Does the article imply that G-d is King on other days and less of a Father?
