Thank You
Thank you for posting this class. It really speaks to my heart. I recently have found out that my conversion that was done when I was only 11 months old was done by a Conservative rabbi. Like you had said in the lesson, I had no control over how things were done when I was a baby and now, at the age of 23 I am dealing with making my conversion halachically acceptable. I have lived the last 23 years thinking I am Jewish, going to a Jewish school from 6th-12th grade and then continuing my Jewish education in college, keeping the mitzvot and now to learn that according to halacha I am not really Jewish is very hard for me. But I keep thinking Hakol Litova
("everything is for the good") and now is a chance for me to make things right and make the decision for myself about who I want to oversee my conversion this time. It was helpful to hear that I am not the only person who has been put in this sort of situation. Thank you.

those that said 'yes'
The 'story' of those that would have wanted to accept the Torah but their angel said 'no' is attributed I believe to the Ger Tzedek (Righteous Convert) of Vilna, Avraham ben Avraham (formerly Count Valentin Potocki) who was martyred in the sanctification of G-d's name on Shavuos in the 18th Century.
