Beyond Sincerity

Sincerity is not enough. You have to do the right thing.

Why is it this way? Why can't we be judged by our intents alone?

So that we will know that we are small, and truth is very large. It is truth that stands at the center, and we that orbit about it.

Based on letters and talks of the Rebbe, Rabbi M. M. Schneerson

thank you
Could you offer a good sentence to ground the orbit sentiment? maybe even the "intentions isnt enough" part too?

great thoughts, if only we could implement both.

It is my understanding that to do the rigtht thing is to literally follow the ten commandments. What do you think?

However, in a free choice world not everyone is interested in pursing the truth with a good heart and by doing the right thing..I depend on rules to guide my behavior.

I am a mother of 3 children and I love each one. So to love all creation is another rule. and to fear no evil is important..I trust goodness and mercy will follow. :.)
