Duets

On the other side of ecstasy lies a painful emptiness. On the other side of bitterness lies joy. Where one goes, the other must follow.

In the ecstasy of understanding lies the gnawing pain of a new frontier of ignorance.

In the agony of yearning lies the ecstasy of love.

In the ecstasy of prayer lies the agony of smallness and distance before the infinite light.

There is no sweet song that is not equally bitter, save that which is shallow and meaningless.

He formed His world from delight, and so must share in its bitterness. Until the time when darkness will shine.

darkness will shine.
How will darkness ever shine. You mean people will appreciate the holiness in darkness as well?

SEE MY POEM - SAME IDEA- OPPOSITES CONNECTED
THE DEEP BLACK HOLE
INSIDE MY SOUL

Good and evil go together
for good is measured as distance from evil
and evil is measured from good.

The strongest love brings rage to kill.

inside us all
inside our soul
inside exists
a deep black hole

the deep black hole
inside my soul

the me which is inside of me
the place which only I must face
the place that has no time or space
where up and down and high and low
and love and hate
all integrate

inside the hole
inside my soul

blueprint of my craziness
thoughts which lurk below

inside the hole
inside my soul

the deep black hole
inside my soul

seemingly it's about balance? i.e., when something horrific occurs, much goodness springs forth, with love and kindness and support. if we could only diminish the horrific! - but it has been a human condition (since the beginning of time) until...
