Publisher's Foreword

ב״ה

It is with a profound sense of gratitude to G-d that we are publishing, at the behest of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson the second volume of the English translation of Sefer HaMaamarim-Yiddish, by the Previous Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Schneersohn, of blessed memory.

In addition to the 27 discourses contained here, this volume also includes a glossary of Hebrew terms, a general index, and an index of quotations and references covering the discourses in both volumes.

It is our prayerful wish that the publication of this volume, serving as yet another step in disseminating the wellsprings of Chassidus , will help hasten the speedy coming of Moshiach.

A Collection of discourses by the sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe. Written during the turbulent years of 1941-1945, many of the discourses focus on self sacrifice, and strengthening Judaism, often speaking of the lessons to be learned from the earth-shattering events of the time and their connection to the coming of Moshiach
